Mosharraf Karim (Bengali: মোশাররফ করিম) (born 22 August 1972) is a Bangladeshi actor. Mosharraf generally acts more frequently in Dramas and Dramaserials, than in Bengali films. Three different Dramaserials have gone to air 2009 starring Mosharraf; which include Sakin Sarisuri, Aim in Life and Housefull, and also his most recent 'Mega-serials' that have gone to air in 2010 are Family and Friends, Fifty 50 and Patigonit. His Dramas are also very notable, as well as the handful of Films he has done, including the award winning Third Person Singular Number. At the moment he is working in the film Television directed by Mostofa Sarwar Farooki. Currently he is working two TV mega serials Long March (on air) and Red Signal directed by Masud Sezan.

Early life

Mosharraf was born in Dhaka. His ancestors are from Barisal. During[when?] an interview with The Daily Star, Mosharraf expressed his acting skill developed through his early work in school theater. In 1986 Mosharraf joined the theater troupe "Nattokendro" and worked for 15 years. After over a decade in theater, Mosharraf emerged on the small screen in 1999, with the single-episode TV play Atithi, directed by Ferdous Hasan and aired on Channel I.


2004 he played two important roles in two different TV works. One of those roles included the popular tele-film Kyarom, where he performed with co-artist Nusrat Imroz Tisha. In 2009 he acted in his first film Third Person Singular Number, with co-artist Tisha. He acted in his first Drama serial 420 aired on Channel I. After this he worked in the two drama serials, Vober Hat and Ghor Kutum. Mosharraf also acted with Bengali film Daruchini Dip directed by Toukir Ahmed. In Khela drama he acted for Humayun Ahmed.
Mosharraf is still acting in, and filming, numerous TV plays and Films, as he is rapidly cementing his position in the Cinema of Bangladesh. At present he is acting in the film Television directed by Mostofa Sarwar Farooki.
